Leeson’s Logging & Cartage, along with its associated companies, engage in Road Transport, Logging, Field and Workshop Maintenance, and Administrative activities that carry inherent risks of accidents. With a commitment to minimizing health and safety hazards across all operations, including at Mill destinations, Leeson’s Logging & Cartage pledges to integrate occupational health and safety practices into process design, operating procedures, training, and management policies.
Every member of Leeson’s Logging & Cartage, regardless of their role, bears the primary responsibility to ensure that the work they perform or oversee is executed safely and without causing harm.
To ensure clarity and acceptance of this commitment within our operations, we hereby pledge to:
Conduct operations in strict compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, legislation, and licenses.
Prioritize Health and Safety considerations in the design of new processes and projects.
Sustain a heightened level of safety awareness across the organization and, through training and active employee engagement, pursue initiatives aimed at reducing health and safety risks.
Advocate for the prompt rehabilitation of injured individuals to the fullest extent possible in the event of an accident.
Mandate that all employees, supervisors, managers, and contractors adhere to established safety practices and procedures, assuming responsibility for their own safety and that of their colleagues.
Ensure that management, employees, and contractors are fully informed of this policy, with adherence to it being a condition of employment for all on-site contractors.
Integrate personal safety considerations into work practices and decision-making processes, incorporating them into assessments of individual performance.

In my capacity as the Managing Director of Leeson’s Logging & Cartage, I affirm that Management is committed to:
Providing and upholding safe plant and operational systems.
Ensuring the existence of arrangements for the safe handling, usage, storage, and transportation of equipment and substances.
Furnishing and maintaining adequate workplaces and facilities to safeguard the safety and health of all Leeson’s Logging & Cartage personnel.
Offering requisite information, training, and supervision to empower Leeson’s Logging & Cartage personnel to operate in a safe and healthy manner.
Managers and supervisors within Leeson’s Logging & Cartage are held accountable for the safety and health performance of their respective areas of oversight.
Management is dedicated to fostering consultation with Leeson’s Logging & Cartage personnel to embed health and safety principles into all work practices, allocate adequate resources, and conduct regular reviews of health and safety concerns.
Each individual associated with Leeson’s Logging & Cartage bears personal responsibility for executing their duties in a manner that prioritizes safety, not only for themselves but also for their colleagues, contractors, visitors, and entrusted property and equipment.
Personnel are expected to adhere to established safe operating procedures, including the proper utilization of safety equipment, as agreed upon through management and employee consultation.
Immediate reporting of all accidents and incidents is mandatory to facilitate timely interventions aimed at preventing future occurrences.
Occupational health and safety policies at Leeson’s Logging & Cartage will undergo regular reviews to accommodate any regulatory or organizational changes.
The overarching objective of Leeson’s Logging & Cartage is to attain the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being for its workforce and visitors alike.
